Embalming                                                                                                  $325.00

Embalming is a process which provides temporary preservation of the body and eliminates health hazards. Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as immediate cremation or immediate burial. Colorado law does require that the deceased be embalmed or refrigerated if the final disposition does not take place within 24 hours of death.

*Embalming is required if you:

  • Select a service with visitation
  • Arrange for transportation by common carrier or interstate service
  • Select arrangements that require us to hold the remains for more than 24 hours in lieu of refrigeration

Add $130 for additional time and materials when an autopsy has been performed.
