Demetria C. DuMond, 78, passed away September 16, 2013 in Canon City, CO. She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 29, 1935 to Anthony & Rosa Chandarlis.
Dee married the love of her life Jim DuMond on August 29, 1964. From this marriage they had one daughter, Cynthia. She worked as a registered nurse for 23 years. She was a volunteer for St. Thomas More hospital for six years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dee is survived by her husband Jim; one daughter Cynthia DuMond; two sisters and nine brothers. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church with a viewing prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Reception to follow at Canon City Elks Lodge #610. No flowers please. Donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Elks National Foundation.
