Obituary for Stephen Vantine

Stephen Vantine, 70, passed away on September 12, 2013 in Penrose, CO. He was born October 9, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Glen and Bernice (Harrah) Vantine.
Stephen served two tours in Vietnam as a corpsman with the Medevac Chopper Corps. He flew 105 missions receiving five air medals and the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf cluster. He retired from the Navy after 27 years as a chief hospital corpsman. He was a member of the Royal Gorge Detachment Marine Corps League.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jerri Daniels; his children, Chaunce Vantine and Sarah (Jerry) Mullen; brother, Charles Vantine.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., September 23, 2013 in the Fallen Heros Veterans section in the Mountain Vale Memorial Gardens, 1700 Chestnut Street in Canon City, CO.
