Obituary for Frank E. Boben

Frank E. Boben,83, of Cañon City, Colorado died peacefully at home on December 23, 2018.
The middle of three children, Frank was born July 8, 1935, in Pueblo, Colorado to Frank and Stephania Boben.
.
Frank graduated high school from the Abbey. A lifelong learner and teacher to all, Frank received his BA in education from the University of Colorado in 1959 and his MA in education from Western State College in 1965.
Frank was an enthusiastic sports fan who always rooted for his local Colorado teams. He was a consummate sportsman, who loved fishing hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed years of hiking, hunting fishing with his family and friends. His last elk hunting trip was this season with his beloved nephews Bob and Steve.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Stephania Boben, and his brothers, Bill (Mary) Boben, and John (Kay) Boben.
He is survived by nephews and nieces, Bob Boben, Steve (Robin) Boben, Mary (Boben), Ralph (Natalie) Cline, Connie Linam, Diana (Chuck)Skerjanec, and Lorita
Dill, as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Additionally, Frank is survived by extended family and extremely good friends Frank and Janie Adamic.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 4,2019, at 11:00 am, Saint Michael Parish, 1016 Mystic Ave. Cañon City. Cemetery interment and reception at St.
Michael will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank’s memory, toward the restoration of Saint Anthony’s Church.
