Obituary for Adrian Leon Brittain

Adrian Leon Brittain, 42, passed away January 9, 2019, outside of Canon City, CO, born October 22, 1976 to Leon and Loretta (Peschka) Brittain.
Adrian grew up in Great Bend moving to Colorado at the age of 16. He attended Sierra High School in Colorado Springs. He moved to Canon City as part of the start-up team for the Super Wal-Mart in 1999. Later he started a career as an entrepreneur specializing in internet sales. For the last eighteen months, he was working as a manager at Harbor Freight. Adrian was an avid Avalanche fan and cheered for the Broncos.
Adrian loved nature. He loved hiking in the mountains, fishing and rafting in the river, mountain biking, four wheeling, range shooting, photography, gardening, and grilling. Indoors, he enjoyed experimenting with cooking and perfecting his chili and meatloaf recipes, drying his ghost peppers, and candy making.
Survivors include his parents; one brother, Austin (Yuki) Brittain, of the US Navy, stationed in Sasebo, Japan; significant other, Jennifer Cox, Canon City; his beloved dog, Rosco; nieces, Trinity and Amanda Brittain, Sasebo, Japan; aunt, Cheryl Gulickson, Great Bend; uncles, Randy and Rick (Heidi) Brittain, Great Bend; cousins, Sarah (Mark) Johnson, Tucson, AZ and Gage Gulickson, Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Velda Brittain; maternal grandparents, Frank and Martha Peschka; beloved dogs, Rusty and Opal.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2019 at Holt Chapel of the Garden with Deacon Dick Bowles presiding. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Great Bend. Father Ted Stoeklein will be the celebrant. Internment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.
