William “Bill” Leonard Morris, Sr., 68, of Cotopaxi, CO, passed on November 14, 2016 at Rock Canyon Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Pueblo, CO.
He was born April 5, 1948 in Evanston, WY to Leonard Junior Morris and Carol Alma Nibarger. He enjoyed high school football for Evanston High School Red Devils which was undefeated in 1964 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. He delivered the Canon City Daily Record for about fifteen years back in the day. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, baseball and enjoyed being “Santa Claus” for many. He was an avid motorcycle rider as well as a member and president of Iron Horseman MC, Denver, CO. He was a business owner of “Bill’s Telephone Service” for many years and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 17, Denver, CO.
He is survived by his son, William Morris Jr., of Salida; daughter, Theresa (Jody) Miller, of Cotopaxi; grandchildren, Jasmine, Krystal, Autumn, Kendra Ward; great grandchildren, Lilly, Ezra, Kaleye, Lili all of Duluth, MN; brothers, Jon (Cindy) Morris, Lonnie (Marlena) Craven, Bob (Connie) Morris; sister, Lois (Greg) Woodward; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service, 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, Elks Lodge 610, Canon City, CO.
