Mario P. DiNardo went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 15, 2017. A lifetime resident of Canon City, Mario was born May 9, 1929 to Ubaldo and Marietta (DiRito) DiNardo and graduated from the Holy Cross Abbey in 1949.
In 1941, at the age of 12, Mario and his twin brother, Albert, along with their father, started making their famous cherry delight, apple and grape cider. Mario and Albert started selling their famous cider from a juice stand on Elm Street, outside their home. Little did Mario and Albert know, this juice stand would turn into 75+ years of business, selling their world renowned cider.
Mario’s favorite hobby was tap dancing, which he did for 35 years, along with ballroom dancing. You could always find Mario and his twin brother, Albert, dancing at local venues, whenever a good band was playing. Mario was dearly loved and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Mario was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tony, Pasquel and a sister-in-law. He is survived by his brother, Albert and Heidi.
