Albert Adams, 84, passed into eternal life and into the arms of his beloved wife of 62 years on May 7, 2017.
He was born December 30, 1932 in Leota, Kansas to John I. Adams and Florence E. (Miller) Adams, who preceded him in death.
Albert married the love of his life, Betty (Fisher) Adams, on January 6, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2014. He was a devoted, loving, hardworking, simple man. He was raised in Canon City and attended Canon City schools. Albert was hired at Ft. Carson as a Civil Service worker in the early 1950’s and worked his way to Transportation Driver for the Air Force Academy. In 1972, he retired due to health reasons.
He is survived by his children, Betsy Robinson, of Arkansas, Penny (Marvin) McDowell, of Penrose, Stoney (Tina) Adams, of Canon City; grandchildren, Robert Robinson, Ricky (April) Martin, Ray McDowell, Donnie McDowell, Nickii (Ryan) Hand, Corey Adams; great-grandchildren, McKenna Martin, Malea Martin, Rhys Hand, Joey McDowell; sister, Crissy (Jim) Beard, of Canon City; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Don Robinson; five sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Albert’s love was his family and being outside; he cherished everything about both. He never traveled much and didn’t see a reason to; he had it all in his own backyard!
