Cecil V. Earnheart, 90, of Canon City, passed away April 12, 2018. He was born December 24, 1927 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Benjamin Earnheart and Louise (Ryno) Earnheart.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (Stilwell) Earnheart; daughters, Karen (Kerry) Reeves, Sharon Hunnicutt, Mandy (Jim) Hearn; brother, Charles Earnheart; sisters, Patsy Butler and Thelma Russell; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents, daughter, Celia Zaben, two sisters, and two brothers.
Cecil joined the Army from 1946 to 1948 then was recalled to serve in the Korean War in 1950.
Cecil moved to Canon City in 1958 and worked for the Fremont County School District for over 27 years, teaching at Canon City High School, and then served as the Curriculum Director for many years before returning to the classroom before retirement. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge #610.
