Obituary for Brieonna Mae Samora (Sanders)

Brieonna Mae Samora (Sanders)
This is the story of Brieonna Mae (Sanders) Samora. Bree was an amazing soul full of love for life. Our “Mama Bear,” named so because of the protective nature and unconditional love for her son. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.
Bree’s story began on March 16, 1994 in Canon City, Colorado. She spent her childhood in the Colorado Mountains riding horses, enjoying the outdoors, and forging memories with friends and family whom she loved dearly.
Bree enjoyed playing volleyball and tennis for her high school team and graduated in 2012 from Florence High School. Her passion for people, caring nature, and contagious laughter made everyone want to be around her. Bree found joy in making others laugh with her silly jokes, even when she was the only one laughing. Her fun-loving nature and zest for life was evident in everything she did, and she will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Bree’s love and passion for helping others inspired her to enter the health care field. She graduated from the EMT program at Pueblo Community College and went on to complete the Phlebotomy Program through National American University. Bree enthusiastically chose a career as a registered nurse; she returned to Pueblo Community College to complete her prerequisites for nursing school. She was well-respected by her peers and her instructors for her dedication to her courses and her passion for the future. Her excitement for her future was contagious. Because of her high academic achievement, six days after her untimely departure, Bree was to be inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. There is no doubt, had she been given the opportunity, Bree would have accomplished all her dreams.
On October 9, 2016, 22-year-old Brieonna Mae proudly became “Mama Bear,” bringing into the world her wonderful son, Kingsley David Samora. She fell head-over-heels in love with her baby boy and he became her entire world. “Mama Bear” loved him with endless patience, endless understanding, endless photographs, endless trips to the duck pond, and endless moments of fun and laughter with her adored son. Bree was consistently striving to be the best Mom possible.
Loved ones who will cherish memories of our beautiful Bree are young son, Kinglsey; mother and stepfather, Pam and Preston Hamby; father and stepmother, Jody and Cheri Evango; brother, Mickey; sisters, Katlyn, Kenzie, and Rylie; grandmother, Linda Sanders; grandfather, Don Sanders; grandmother, Sheryl Smith; boyfriend, Tyler Duncan; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Rocky Smith.
Celebration of Life, 1 p.m. Monday April 23, 2018, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 245 South Reynolds in Canon City, with interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, 1008 Elm Avenue, also in Canon City. Following the graveside service, please join us back at the Vineyard Church for a potluck reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation to Kingsley's education fund, in care of Pamela Hamby, 3064 S. Sherrelwood Dr., Canon City, CO 81212.
