He welcomed a hard day’s work because he knew no other way, he would not have had it any other way, and it made him happy.
When not working, Howard took pleasure in the simple things of life such as fishing, picnics, horseshoes, cards, gardening, roses, cold beer, Green Bay Packer football games and spending time with his family and close friends. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great- Grandfather and friend to many.
Howard is survived by his sister, Florence Lind of Minnesota; daughter, Lori (Rich) Soden of Canon City; son, Mark (Sue) Steiner of Marana, Arizona; grandsons, Michael “Joe” (Kara) Steiner of Canon City, and Bryson (Mary Beth) Soden of Middletown, Iowa; great-grandsons, Jake Steiner of Golden, Colorado and Josh Steiner of Canon City.
