A very talented and self-taught artist, Dorothy painted portraits of seven well known citizens that are on permanent display at the Royal Gorge Museum and Historical center. In addition to her artistic talent she was gifted with the written word and with five books on poetry and history.
In April of this year she was added to the Fremont Hall of Fame by the people of Fremont and Custer counties for her extraordinary effort in bettering the local communities.
